Electric Moka Pot

What to look out for when making your selection

1. The size of the Coffee Maker.

Before you buy, you have to decide on the size of your coffee maker. Whether you will be making coffee for the whole family or just for yourself. Or you drink coffee in big volumes, and then the size of the moka pot should be big enough so you don’t have to make it in two passes.

2. Material of manufacture.

The quality and durability of your electric moka pot directly depends on the material from which it is made. Often lightweight materials are not durable, and often the weight of the appliance (especially if it’s stainless steel) is the benchmark.

3. Power

This will directly affect the speed of heating water and brewing coffee.

4. Build quality

All parts should connect well, the coffee pot bowl should be tightly screwed together. There should be no leaks, because it is dangerous.

My Review of Electric Coffee Makers

1. Delonghi emk6, For Real Italian Espresso

Like all Delonghi devices, the Alicia model isn’t cheap. But the classic octagonal design of the coffee maker combined with modern technology makes the DeLonghi Alicia Electric Moka Pot the best moka pot.

  • Capacity: 6 Cups;

  • Brand: De'Longhi;

  • Color: Stainless Steel;

  • Material: Plastic.

Stainless steel electric moka pot - it's stylish and reliable.

  • Easy to use. Just pour water up to the valve, put in the filter and add the ground coffee. Install and screw on the top clear bowl and turn it on;

  • Transparent top container. I love watching the coffee bubbling fill the top container;

  • The option to heat the coffee, which helps your coffee stay hot for up to half an hour;

  • Although the DeLonghi Alicia electric pot can't be washed in the dishwasher, the parts just need to be rinsed under water. Periodically, I recommend descaling it;

  • Cooking volumes. Alicia is designed to make 6 cups of espresso, but if you don't need that volume you can use the adapter;

  • Automatic shutoff allows you to make coffee without your supervision. The coffee will never burn or run off (for me, this is the most important point).

2. 3 Cup Uniware Professional Electric Espresso

  • Capacity: 3 Cups;

  • Color: Silver;

  • Material: Plastic.

Classic 3 cup moka pot at an affordable price, with good reviews

  • Like all electric moka pot, easy to use - pour water, pour coffee into filter, assemble and turn on. When you remove it from the base - it turns off. BUT! I miss the automatic switch off at the end of cooking. Easy to use. Just pour water up to the valve, put in the filter and add the ground coffee. Install and screw on the top clear bowl and turn it on;

  • You can cook anywhere there is an outlet, you are not tied to the kitchen;

  • Easy care;

  • Small volume - for three cups.

I think Uniware Electric Espresso is perfect for the office. The aluminum body material makes it unusually light. The classic design is always a pleasure to look at.

3. Bialetti Moka Elettrika – The ultimate travel classic.

The classic electric Bialetti Moka Elettrika is ideal for travelling, vacations, and whenever there is a power outlet.

  • Capacity: 0.08 Liters;

  • Brand: Bialetti;

  • Material: Aluminum.

When in doubt, choose the Bialetti Moka Elettrika!

  • The Moka Express is the electric version of Bialetti's classic coffee maker, which means it's just as easy and convenient to use. The only difference is you don't put it on the stove but plug it in;

  • I think Bialetti quality needs no introduction, this company has a lot of experience in making coffee makers;

  • Electric Bialetti Moka Elettrika has a small size, but since it is primarily positioned as a travel coffeemaker - this is not a drawback, but an advantage.

4. Electric Coffee Maker With Timer Alicia Plus

Electric Coffee Maker With Timer by Delonghi , gently wakes you up in the morning with a beep when the coffee is ready.

  • Capacity: 3 Cups;

  • Color: Silver;

  • Material: Plastic.

What I particularly like about it:

  • The unusual control panel with a timer for 24 hours! You can set it to make an invigorating drink in the morning;

  • You can select the volume you want;

  • Keep-Warm will keep your coffee hot for 30 minutes;

  • High brewing speed, with relatively low consumption;

  • Coffee maker goes into stand-by mode when not in use;

  • Stable body, while the round base of the coffee maker allows you to put it as you like;

  • No need to control during brewing;

  • Transparent top boiler - I love to watch the brewing process;

  • Ability to choose the strength of the drink. You can cook barley.

5. Stainless Steel Moka Pot

  • Capacity: 300 Milliliters;

  • Brand: Consfly;

  • Material: Stainless Steel;

  • Wattage: 500 watts.

Stainless steel electric moka pot - it's stylish and reliable.

  • 5 temperature adjustment levels;

  • Cast iron heating plate provides even heating;

  • Thick stainless steel material;

  • Anti-slip handle is made so you will not burn yourself;

  • The spout is designed so you won't splash coffee while cooking.

For me I opted for two electric coffee makers:

Bialetti Moka Elettrika – for traveling, with it you can always be sure of the quality of your drink wherever you are.

Electric Coffee Maker With Timer by Delonghi – for home or office.
